Excited and proud to share my freshly published paper: A Metaphor for Rethinking Artificial Intelligence in/and Education.

The paper explores how so-called “AI” in education acts like a mirror—not reflecting intelligence, but exposing the values, biases, and inequities embedded in our systems. It critiques dominant metaphors like AI as a tool or tutor and argues that these framings obscure deeper cultural and political realities.
Instead, the mirror metaphor invites us to confront uncomfortable reflections: personalization that conceals standardization, efficiency that overrides pedagogy, and policies that deepen inequities. Most importantly, it challenges us to reimagine education not just for efficiency or control, but for ecological awareness, justice, and human flourishing.
